Fans of extreme sports have no trouble finding things to do in Vegas. Extreme sports events of all kinds happen in the city regularly. On the weekend of January 10th, 2020, the BMX Silver Dollar Nationals will be taking place at the South Point Hotel and Casino.
This weekend-long competition features all types of races with the most extreme obstacles you can imagine. Famous riders will compete for top prizes and advance to the next competition later this year.
Nascar Pennzoil 400 – February 20th-23rd

Las Vegas is home to all kinds of racing events, including Nascar. On the weekend of February 20th, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host the Pennzoil 400 Weekend.
Favorite Nascar drivers will be racing for glory and trophies all weekend long. Fans will also be able to get a behind-the-scenes look into what happens in the professional Nascar garages.

LVL Up Expo – February 21st-23rd

Every geek knows that conventions are the best way to spend a weekend. And Las Vegas knows how to put on a geeky convention. On the weekend of February 21st, LVL Up Expo will be returning to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
LVL Up Expo is a celebration of all things geek. It’s not just a comic-con, gaming-con, anime-con, or sci-fi-con. It’s all of those things put together. Play your favorite video games and tabletop games. Compete in a cosplay contest, enjoy some live pro wrestling, and break out of a custom escape room all at the same event.
Gamers, nerds, and geeks of all kinds will be in heaven at LVL Up Expo.
March Madness in Vegas – March

Is there anything better for basketball fans than March Madness in Vegas? Of course not! In Vegas, March Madness isn’t just about basketball. It’s a month-long lifestyle.
There are events all over Las Vegas. All the major casinos have sportsbooks where you can watch and bet on the games, which offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience if you can deal with the insane crowds. If you’re looking for a more low-key experience, you’re better off heading to one of the strip’s dozens of sportsbooks.
And if you’re there for the actual basketball, not the betting, you can head to any of Vegas’ amazing sports bars or restaurants to watch the games. No matter where you head, you’ll be surrounded by fans enjoying the frenetic energy of March Madness.
Great Vegas Festival of Beer – April 3rd-4th

Most people headed to Vegas plan to enjoy at least a few adult beverages during their stay. If the enjoyment of adult beverages is the main focus of your trip, then you should definitely plan to be in Vegas for the Great Vegas Festival of Beer.
This Beerfest is unlike any other. Imagine all your favorite bars – the karaoke bar, the barcade, the nightclub, the dive bar – are all in one place, and that’s the Great Vegas Festival of beers.
Games, food, bands, singing, dancing, and drinking are on the schedule every night of the event. And there are over 400 brews there for you to try.
Vegas Rockabilly Weekend – April 9th-12th

Vegas is home to some of the most unique events in the country and the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend is certainly one of those unique events. This one-of-a-kind event is a celebration of the Rockabilly subculture. Think pinup girls, bluegrass-rock music, tattoos, and cars. And all of those things can be found at Rockabilly Weekend.
There’s a vintage car show, live bands, a pop-up tattoo shop with some of the country’s most favorite artists inking, dances, fashion shows, burlesque shows, and even a pinup girl contest. It’s an amazing weekend for those deep in the Rockabilly culture or those just looking for a fantastic time.
CombatCon – July 30th-Aug 2nd
- Venue: Flamingo Hotel and Casino
Fans of combat sports have always gravitated to Vegas because Vegas has never shied away from the controlled violence of these sports. Major Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai events happen all over Vegas regularly.
So, it makes sense that CombatCon, the largest martial arts convention in the country, would happen in Vegas. Both athletes and spectators can have the time of their lives at CombatCon.
There are tournaments in almost every popular martial arts discipline in which athletes compete for prizes and glory. There’s a giant vendor area where athletes and fans can purchase gear. And there are panels where you can meet professional martial artists and workshops where you can try out any martial art you can think of under the supervision of trained professionals.
Las Vegas Bike Fest – October 1st-4th
- Venue: Downtown Las Vegas Events Center
Vegas has always been a place where everyone is accepted, where countercultures thrive. So, it’s no surprise that bikers have always loved to gather in Sin City for a good time.
Motorcycle enthusiasts roar into the city for Las Vegas Bike Fest to enjoy all kinds of bike-related events. There are motorcycle shows, races, parades, tattoo contests, and live music all weekend long. Come to compete or just to enjoy the festivities.
