Las Vegas News Round-Up – (January & February 2025)
Las Vegas is always buzzing with news, and 2025 is off to an exciting start.
Every month, we’ll provide a round-up of some noteworthy events in Las Vegas. There’s plenty to catch up on for January and early February, from record-breaking home prices and new entertainment residencies to major sports announcements and business changes.
Here’s a roundup of some of the most noteworthy updates shaping the city right now.
New Record High Median Home Price
In January 2025, the median price for single-family homes in Las Vegas reached a new record of $485,000, marking a $10,000 increase from the previous month and a 9% rise compared to January 2024.
Historically, when home prices rise, so do rents and everything else related to properties, this means that you may see higher prices for hotels and other accommodations in the area.
This means as home prices in Las Vegas rise, finding a great hotel deal will become even more important.
