No Wsop for Doyle Brunson This Year? Seems Not…
The American Poker veteran who took down the Main Events of 1976 and 1977 twittered in the beginning of June that he was not going to take part to the 47th World Series of Poker:
… and it looks like he is sticking to it so far after more than half of the 2016 battles have been fought.

The Poker legend with the hat was around when the first WSOP was held in Las Vegas in 1970 and thinks the hours are too long for his age. With up to ten hours of play per day, he is afraid his health will make it difficult for him to keep up with the pace especially after a new recent surgery (skin cancer this time). He announced nevertheless that he would show up for some cash games. The 82-year old is not at all giving up on Poker, he just prefers to focus on shorter games. If one follows him on Twitter, one notices that he recently challenged Jason Mercier and his 3 bracelets. Game on!
For now, Doyle Brunson’s last cash in a WSOP-event dates back to his 409th place finish in the 2013 Main Event that might very well have been his last for while…
