Best Places in Vegas to Up Your Selfie Game
You know how the saying goes: “pics or it didn’t happen.” You’ve been counting down the days to your trip to Sin City and you also know your friends, family, and followers will be waiting for pictures.
To show off your best moment, you’re going to need to map out Instagram-worthy places. Luckily, Vegas is full of unique spots to make your social media stand out.
Ready to up your selfie game? Take a look at where to go during your trip!
Tattoo’d America
Branded as “funhouse for grown-ups,” this experience pairs art with fun attractions. There’s a large ball pit, 21 art installations, body painting demonstrations, an ink lab, and a tattoo parlor.
It’s for anyone tattooed or not. If you’re looking for new ink, head to their tattoo parlor which features various well-known artists. Those who aren’t sure about donning some permanent ink can try out temporary options in the Ink Lab.
Not only are there plenty of backgrounds to pose in front of, but you can also show off your new tattoo! A warning though: this event is not for children or those uncomfortable with a bit of nudity.
Madame Tussauds
Can’t get close to a celebrity for the ultimate selfie? No problem!
Instead of camping out waiting for someone famous to show up, head to Madame Tussauds. If you’ve never heard of this place before, it’s an immersive exhibit filled with lifelike wax figurines of celebrities.
Beyond seeing the likes of Khloe Kardashian and Britney Spears, there are also major sports stars and Marvel superheroes. No matter who you’re a fan of, there are plenty of photo opportunities.
While you’re there, grab a drink at their Hangover Bar. And yes, for those of you wondering, it’s based on the Hangover movies.
It’s equipped with iconic scenes from the movie like the penthouse suite with a (fake) tiger and a traditional Vegas wedding chapel. Enjoy Wolf Pack shots while “hanging out” with Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Mike Tyson.
The Strat Skypod
No selfie is complete without a good view of the Strip. The best way to do that is by heading to The Strat Skypod, the tallest observation tower in the U.S.
It sits above Las Vegas at 1,149 feet. Decked out with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, you get a 360-degree view of Las Vegas.
If that’s not enough to up your selfie game, get pictures or video of you leaping from 829 feet above the Strip with their SkyJump attraction. It’s perfectly suited for the daring.
Vanderpump Cocktail Garden
Over at Caesars Palace is an urban garden fit for those looking for a casual yet unique place to sip on cocktails. It’s owned by reality TV star and restauranteur Lisa Vanderpump.
Those familiar with her show can expect the same level of glitz and glam, minus the drama. However, don’t be surprised if you see Lisa herself or other Vanderpump Rules cast members hanging out. How’s that for an Instagram-worthy place?
Gondola Rides
Instead of booking an expensive trip to Venice, the Venetian hotel and casino comes close to how the real country looks. One of their most popular attractions is the gondola ride.
In it, you’ll glide down the Grand Canal with a singing gondolier. On your ride, you’ll pass by cafes, beneath balconies, and through the Venetian streetscape.
Whether you’re with friends or a significant other, it’s a fun and romantic way to spend your evenings. They also have an outdoor experience that takes the gondola outside to see the glimmering lights of the Strip at night.
Grand Canyon
We know, the Grand Canyon isn’t located in Las Vegas. What we’re getting at is the ultimate way to get a selfie or two.
By taking a helicopter tour, you’ll not only fly over the Strip but Hoover Dam, and Lake Mead as well. When you arrive at the Grand Canyon, you’ll land 3,500 feet below the rim.
From there, you can enjoy a light snack and a champagne toast while you overlook the wonderous Colorado River. While you’re there, make sure to take as many photographs as you can!
On your way back, you’ll fly through the Black Canyon, a large water trail that leads to hidden coves.
High Roller
To get a bird’s eye view of the Las Vegas Strip, there’s no better way to do that than from 550 feet inside the world’s tallest observation wheel. At the LINQ is where you’ll find the High Roller.
It takes 30 minutes for the wheel to complete one revolution, plenty of time to snap a few pics. To really elevate your experience, opt for an open bar. Some of the cabins come equipped with one, all you need to do is upgrade your package.
Their “Happy Half Hour” starts at 12 PM to 1 AM. However, guests have to be 21 years or older to ride in one.
Cosmopolitan Chandelier Bar
Over at the high-end Cosmopolitan hotel and casino is where you’ll find their glimmering Chandelier Bar and Lounge. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with millions of crystals.
The atmosphere is high energy, depending on what level you’re on. There are two levels, with level one being the most energetic.
Level two is where you lounge inside of the chandelier. It’s a perfect spot to take as many selfies as possible; making it look like you’re on another planet.
While you’re there, make sure to try one of their signature drinks such as Whiskey Business or We’re All Mad Here.
Get Your Selfie Game On
There’s no better place to take a few pictures for social media like Las Vegas. With plenty of casinos and attractions, you’ll have enough content to last for a few months.
When it comes to taking snapshots inside of dark casinos, be sure to up your phone’s exposure lighting. This will create the illusion of bright light without harsh shadows that using flash can give you.
