Criss Angel Mindfreak is the illusionist’s Las Vegas stage show, and it has played Planet Hollywood since December 2018. Its home is the Criss Angel Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, a 1,500-seat showroom (the former home of Peepshow) that Angel had retrofitted for Mindfreak.
The seats fall into three groups: the 100 sections on a flat floor in front of the stage, the 200 sections behind them, and the 300 sections at the back. Where to sit: section 202, in the middle of the 200 level, which looks over the floor without feeling far from the stage.
Best seats for Criss Angel Mindfreak
The best seats are in section 202, the center of the 200 level: guests who sit there say there is no need to be closer unless you want to be near the performers.
The front sections put you nearest the stage, which is the appeal if you want to watch the illusions from a few feet away. The catch is the flat floor: with no slope, a tall person or someone leaning forward in the row ahead can block part of the stage.
If you do want the floor, go for the first few rows, where there are fewer heads between you and Criss Angel.
Best value seats
The best value is a seat in the 200 sections rather than deep in the flat floor, because a clear sightline matters more in this room than a few rows of distance.
Prices change by date, so compare the 200 and 300 sections for your night before you pick. If you go for the 300 sections, know that legroom is tight in places.
Limited view seats
Avoid section 201, row A: stairs and a railing sit right in front of these seats and get in the way of the stage.
On the flat floor, the problem is people rather than structure: anyone tall in the row ahead sits in your line of sight. Row L of section 201 is next to a pillar, but guests there report a clear view.
Accessible seating
Wheelchair and companion seats are handled by the Planet Hollywood box office: call before you book and tell them what you need.
Section by section
Sections 101, 102 and 103
The front sections sit on a flat floor facing the stage, with 102 in the middle. You are as close to the stage as the room allows.
Because the floor has no slope, your view depends on who sits in front of you. The first rows get around that.
Sections 201, 202 and 203
The 200 sections sit behind the floor, with 202 in the center. This is the sweet spot of the room: you see over the floor sections and take in the whole stage.
The row to skip is row A of section 201, which looks through stairs and a railing.
Sections 301 to 305
The 300 sections are the upper seats at the back, the furthest from the stage. Legroom is tight in places, including row A of section 304.
