Yes, but not the way most people expect, and the difference matters if you want to avoid wasting an afternoon hunting for a code that was never going to work.
What gets called a promo code in Las Vegas is almost always a rate code. It is an internal reference the hotel group uses to identify one specific discounted rate in its booking system. It is not a coupon you paste into a box at checkout. On MGM Resorts properties there is no box to paste it into at all. The code selects a rate, it does not knock money off the rate you already have.
That is why every offer on this page takes you straight to a booking page with the right rate already selected. There is nothing to copy, nothing to remember, and nothing that can go missing between here and the payment screen.
What stacks and what does not
Room rate discounts almost never combine with each other. A 20% advance purchase rate and a 10% AAA rate are two separate rates, so you pick the better one rather than adding them together. What does stack is everything that sits outside the room rate:
- A discounted rate plus a dining or resort credit, when the offer includes one. Pick Food & drink credit in the filters above to see them.
- A discounted rate plus a waived resort fee, which is worth $25 to $55 a night on its own and is the single biggest saving available on most stays.
- Casino loyalty status, which can waive resort fees on comped and discounted stays alike, whichever rate you booked.
That last one is the piece most visitors never hear about, and it is worth more than most of the percentage discounts on this page. We explain how it works, hotel by hotel, in our guide to Las Vegas resort fees.
Who qualifies for a discounted rate
Six groups get their own rate at most Las Vegas properties: AAA and CAA members, active and retired military, government employees and first responders, guests over a certain age, students and teachers, and Nevada residents.
How the check happens depends on the group. MGM Resorts takes your word at booking and checks the card or ID at the front desk. Caesars and Station Casinos go the other way for military and first responder rates: you verify through ID.me before the calendar will even show you a price. Neither approach is a problem as long as you know which one you are dealing with, and the offer description above tells you.
Add your special rate to the filters above to see only the rates you can actually claim.
