The World Series of Poker (WSOP) returns to Las Vegas every summer (the 2026 series ran from May 26 to mid-July, and the Main Event final table was played August 3 to 5), taking over two of the best casinos in Las Vegas, Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. With dozens of bracelet events, nonstop cash games, and the $10,000 Main Event, it is the biggest poker festival of the year.
This guide breaks down everything you need to know to make the most of the WSOP in Las Vegas.
Before we get into key dates and how to register, here’s a quick look at what the WSOP is and why it draws players from around the world to Las Vegas every summer.
What is the WSOP?
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the largest and longest-running poker tournament series in the world. It first started in 1970 and has grown into a global event, attracting thousands of players each year who compete for gold bracelets, major prize pools, and the title of World Champion.
The series covers a wide range of poker formats.
We cover the schedule in more detail below, but the games usually include No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E, Omaha, Stud, Razz, and Lowball.
Over the years, the WSOP has expanded to include international stops and online events, the flagship series in Las Vegas remains the heart of the brand, and the stage for the $10,000 Main Event. Here is what we know so far about the 2027 WSOP.
Key Dates for the 2027 WSOP
The WSOP has not announced the 2027 dates or venue yet (the 2026 schedule came out in mid-February). The series usually starts in late May, and since 2022 it has been held at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. Here are last year’s key dates, as a guide:
- Opening Day: May 26, 2026, with Event #1, the $550 Mini Mystery Millions.
- Main Event Start: July 2, 2026, the first of four starting flights for the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event.
- Main Event Final Table: set on July 13, 2026, then played live on ESPN from August 3 to 5.
- Registration: Through the WSOP LIVE app, which you need even to register at the cage; check WSOP.com for the 2027 dates.
Highlights of the Nevada WSOP Schedule
The 2027 schedule is not out yet. In 2026, the Las Vegas series had 100 bracelet events, with buy-ins from $300 to $250,000. Whether you’re aiming for your first deep run or chasing another bracelet, there’s something for every type of player.

The Main Event
- The 2027 dates are not announced yet. In 2026, it started July 2; the final table was set July 13 and played August 3 to 5.
- $10,000 buy-in. In 2026 it drew 9,208 entries, and the winner, Lucas Jumalon, took home $10 million.

How to Register for the WSOP
All players must have two things to register for WSOP events:
- A Caesars Rewards card (Player’s Card)
- A WSOP LIVE account (the free app, called WSOP+ in 2025)
Caesars Rewards Card
All players must have an active Caesars Rewards loyalty card to register. If you don’t have one:
- Sign up online, or at any Caesars Rewards desk in Las Vegas.
- Bring a valid, unexpired photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.). If it does not show the address you entered in the app, also bring a document that does, such as a utility bill.
If you already have a Caesars Rewards account but lost your card, simply request a reprint at the front desk or use one of the Caesars Rewards reprint kiosks on property.
WSOP LIVE Account (Mandatory)
Every player must have a WSOP LIVE account to register for events, whether online or in person, even at the cage. The app was called WSOP+ in 2025; today WSOP+ is the name of a separate paid membership, which you do not need to play. The account is free.
- You can download the WSOP LIVE app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- In the app, you link your Caesars Rewards number (with your last name) to complete registration.
- This system handles both online and on-site registrations.

Where to Stay for the WSOP (Plus Hotel Deals)
With the World Series of Poker held at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas every summer since 2022, you’ll either want to stay at these hotels or somewhere nearby.
If you book your stay at Paris Las Vegas at least 30 days in advance, Caesars’ Advanced Purchase Savings deal can lower your room rate (suites are excluded).

The LINQ Hotel + Experience
The LINQ is a short 15-minute walk away from the events at Paris and Horseshoe, but it’s a great modern hotel for you to stay in. It’s close to other Las Vegas attractions such as the High Roller and major hotels such as The Venetian. The Advanced Purchase Savings deal can lower your rate if you book at least 30 days in advance.
If all of this seems overwhelming, and you’re not going to be visiting Las Vegas, then you can also watch the WSOP events at home.
How to Watch the WSOP
If you’re not making the trip to Las Vegas, there are still plenty of ways to follow the action from home.
Streaming Coverage
Since 2026, ESPN has been the WSOP’s TV partner under a multi-year deal, and PokerGO no longer streams the series.
In 2026, the other bracelet events streamed free on the WSOP’s YouTube channel (and on Twitch, X and Facebook), and the Main Event streamed daily on the paid ESPN app.
Television Coverage
ESPN and ESPN2 aired the 2026 Main Event final table live over three nights in August, with edited episodes before and after it; check ESPN’s schedule closer to the series.
Live Updates and Chip Counts
For real-time updates, the official website WSOP.com sends you to the WSOP LIVE app, and it posts news and event winners throughout the summer.
