ARIA and Wynn are two of the Strip’s modern luxury resorts, about a mile and a half apart. ARIA is the glass tower of CityCenter, in the middle of the Strip, run by MGM Resorts. Wynn is the bronze curve on the north Strip, with its gardens, lake and golf course. Both have five-star suites; they differ on almost everything else. Here is how they compare.

Location: Center Strip or North Strip
ARIA sits back from the boulevard in CityCenter, between Park MGM and Bellagio, a short walk from The Cosmopolitan, Bellagio and the free Aria Express tram. Wynn is on the north Strip, across from Fashion Show mall and a footbridge away from The Palazzo and The Venetian. Between the two, take a taxi, a rideshare or the Deuce bus; walking takes 40 minutes or more. From the airport, ARIA is in the Taxicab Authority’s zone 2 and Wynn in zone 3, each with its own flat fare. Our getting around guide times every way.
Rooms: Wynn’s Are Bigger
Wynn’s entry room is 640 square feet, with one king or two queens and floor-to-ceiling windows. ARIA’s Deluxe Room is 520 square feet, with floor-to-ceiling windows too and a tablet that runs the curtains, lights and temperature. ARIA opened in 2009, Wynn in 2005, and ARIA’s rooms are due for a remodel reported to start in late 2026.
At the top, both have a five-star hotel within the hotel: the ARIA Sky Suites, on floors 25 to 56 of the South Tower, with their own check-in, lounge and Sky Pool, and the Wynn Tower Suites, with their own entrance, lobby and pool. Forbes Travel Guide rates both five stars for 2026.

| Aria | Wynn | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry room | Deluxe Room, 520 sq ft | Wynn Resort, 640 sq ft |
| A step up | Corner Tower Suite, 920 sq ft | Panoramic View room, 28th floor or higher |
| Hotel within the hotel | ARIA Sky Suites, 1,050 to 2,060 sq ft, Forbes five stars | Wynn Tower Suites, from 640 sq ft, Forbes five stars |
| Rooms in all | About 4,000 | About 4,750 with Encore |

Pools: A Party Deck or a Garden
ARIA’s pool deck covers 215,000 square feet, with three main pools, among them LIQUID Pool Lounge, for adults only, and the Sky Pool for Sky Suites guests, plus 35 cabanas. Wynn’s pool sits among gardens and stays open in winter; Tower Suites guests have a pool of their own, and the Wynn and Encore complex has two European pools for adults 21 and over, where tops are optional.

Casino, Nightlife and Shows
ARIA’s casino covers more than 150,000 square feet. Wynn reports its casino and Encore’s together, about 199,000 square feet with 231 table games. Both have a poker room. At night, ARIA has JEWEL nightclub; at Wynn, XS returns from a full renovation on November 5, 2026, Delilah serves dinner in a supper-club setting, and the free Lake of Dreams show plays every half hour from dusk until 11:30 p.m.
Neither has a resident show right now. ARIA’s theater became convention space years ago, and Wynn’s Awakening closed on October 10, 2026, with a new production promised for 2027. Next door, the Encore Theater hosts headliners on select dates.
Restaurants
ARIA: Carbone, Jean Georges Steakhouse, Gymkhana (new in December 2025), CATCH, Bardot Brasserie, Javier’s, Din Tai Fung and the Proper Eats food hall. Wynn: Wing Lei, SW Steakhouse, Mizumi, PISCES, Delilah, Cipriani and Sartiano’s, with Allegro, Red 8 and The Buffet for an easier meal and Sinatra next door at Encore.

Spa, Golf and Art
Both resorts have a five-star spa for 2026: The Spa & Salon at ARIA, and The Spa at Wynn and The Spa at Encore. Wynn adds its own golf course, the Wynn Golf Club, open to the public. ARIA answers with a fine art collection you can walk through for free, including Maya Lin’s 84-foot Silver River and Jenny Holzer’s light work, VEGAS.
What a Night Costs
The rates at the top of this page are today’s lowest at each resort, per night, with the resort fee: $55 a night plus tax at both. Wynn’s covers self-parking for hotel guests; at ARIA, hotel guests pay $20 a day, unless they hold MGM Rewards Pearl status or higher. Valet is $40 a day at both. Room tax, 13.38% on the Strip, comes on top. Our pages for ARIA and Wynn list every rate we track.
ARIA or Wynn: Which Should You Book?
Book ARIA if you want to be in the middle of the Strip, you like modern rooms and gadgets, you want an adults-only pool party, or you’re splurging on a Sky Suite. It also makes sense if you collect MGM Rewards.
Book Wynn if you want a bigger room, a calmer resort with gardens, free parking for your car, golf, or the Lake of Dreams after dinner.
