Paris Las Vegas and New York-New York are the Strip’s two great theme hotels, and both are mid-priced. Paris has a half-size Eiffel Tower, a café on the sidewalk and a view of Bellagio’s fountains across the street. New York-New York has a Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, a Brooklyn Bridge and a roller coaster looping around the towers. Paris belongs to Caesars Entertainment, New York-New York to MGM Resorts. Here is how they compare.

Location: Center Strip or South Strip
Paris is on the east side of the center Strip, facing Bellagio, between Horseshoe and Planet Hollywood and the Las Vegas Monorail stops behind it. New York-New York is on the west side of the south Strip, at the corner of Tropicana Avenue, with footbridges to MGM Grand and Excalibur and The Park leading to T-Mobile Arena and Park MGM. They are close to a mile apart, about 20 minutes on foot along the Strip. Both are in the Taxicab Authority’s zone 2 from the airport. Our getting around guide has every way.
Rooms: Paris’ Are a Little Bigger
Paris has about 3,670 rooms in two towers. The original 34-story Bordeaux Tower has 390-square-foot rooms in French colors, some looking over the pool and the Eiffel Tower. The Versailles Tower, taken over from next-door Horseshoe and remodeled, has 445-square-foot rooms with a Strip or pool view, and its remodel was finished in late 2024.
New York-New York has 2,024 rooms, remodeled in 2023 with a Soho loft look: exposed brick and wood floors. The Soho room is 350 square feet and the Soho Premier 450, with a work desk and a granite bathroom.

Pools
Pool à Paris is a two-acre rooftop deck at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, with a heated pool, Strip views, and daybeds, cabanas and villas to rent; it’s open in season, and the 2026 season began in late February. New York-New York’s pool is simpler, an outdoor pool with a big sundeck, a hot tub and cabanas, with towel service at the lounge chairs.

Things to Do
Paris’ big draw is the Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck, 46 stories and about 460 feet up, open from 4 p.m. to midnight, with Bellagio’s fountains right below. The tower itself lights up every 30 minutes from sunset to midnight.
New York-New York has the Big Apple Coaster, 203 feet high at 67 miles an hour, which starts in the arcade, and the resort fee includes a 2-for-1 ride. There is no resident show at the moment: Cirque du Soleil’s Mad Apple closed on September 5, 2026. T-Mobile Arena and Dolby Live at Park MGM are a short walk away for concerts and games.

Casino and Restaurants
The casinos are about the same size: 85,000 square feet at Paris and more than 84,000 at New York-New York. Paris has the better restaurants: Gordon Ramsay Steak, the Eiffel Tower Restaurant, Nobu, Vanderpump à Paris, The Bedford by Martha Stewart and Mon Ami Gabi, whose patio on the Strip faces the fountains, plus Bobby’s Burgers and a Salt & Straw ice cream shop that opened at the end of 2025. New York-New York is more casual: Gallagher’s Steakhouse, Il Fornaio, Nine Fine Irishmen, Tom’s Watch Bar, Chin Chin, Shake Shack and the Village Street Eateries, a food court in a mock Greenwich Village.
