Mac King’s Comedy Magic Show takes place inside the Thunderland Showroom at the Excalibur Hotel.

Compared to other Vegas venues, and even the King Arthur Arena at Excalibur, this one’s fairly intimate. There are 411 seats, but not all seats are equal when it comes to seeing the stage clearly or being part of the action.

The room and ticket categories are divided into two sections. 

VIP and General Admission.

Seats With The Best View

If you’re looking for an up-close experience, you’ll want to go with the VIP Section. These seats are located in the front and center of the showroom, offering the best views of everything Mac has to offer on stage.

The VIP area includes both tables and booths. 

The booths are slightly elevated and come with padded seating, which adds comfort, especially if you’re there with a group.

However, note that booth seating can feel a bit tight if you’re seated with strangers.

In our opinion, tables 3, 4, and 5, which are closest to the stage and directly centered, have the best view. 

Considering that the price difference between VIP and General Admission is only around $10, most people agree it’s worth upgrading to get closer to the action.

At $54.95, VIP seats put you in a prime position for audience interaction and better views of the magic.

Best Seats If You’re Looking for Value

Unlike other Las Vegas shows, Mac King only has two ticketing options. However, you can still save $10 by purchasing General Admission seats. 

Buying general admission tickets can still be a good choice, especially if you pick the right spot. This section includes tables at the rear and sides of the showroom. While these seats are farther from the stage, some are positioned on a slightly elevated level, which can improve visibility.

In our opinion, Tables 15 and 18 are good options, they are located on the main level with decent angles toward the stage. On the upper level, both tables 29 and 30 are good options. They provide better elevation and a clearer line of sight over the rows in front.

At $44.95, General Admission is a good option for families. After all, savings of $10 per ticket adds up.

Seats To Avoid

There aren’t many “bad” seats in the Thunderland Showroom, but there are a few things to keep in mind. 

• The venue has minimal elevation overall. That means if someone tall sits in front of you, your view could be partially blocked.
• Tables at the far rear or extreme sides of the room offer the worst viewing angles. 
• As we mentioned earlier, booths are comfortable but can feel tight when shared with people you don’t know, especially if you’re in a corner spot.

If clear views and stage interaction are important to you, it’s better to book early and secure a seat in one of the front VIP rows.

Is Accessible Seating Available?

As with most venues in Las Vegas, accessible and companion seating is available. The theater is well-designed to accommodate both wheelchair users and guests with limited mobility. 

Designated accessible and companion seating can be found at the following tables:

• Table 2 (VIP section, close to the stage).
• Tables 24, 27, and 31 (various locations within General Admission)

These tables are spaced out to provide adequate room for wheelchairs and are paired with companion seating so guests can enjoy the show alongside a friend or family member.
