Thunder From Down Under is the Australian male revue that has been on the Strip since July 2001 and at Excalibur since 2002. It plays the Thunderland Showroom on the second level of Excalibur Hotel & Casino, a room of about 411 to 425 seats rebuilt in 2019 around three main stages, with smaller platforms and space for the dancers to work the whole floor.
Every seat is at a table: on the main level around the stages, in six booths raised slightly behind it, or on the upper level a few feet higher at the back. Where to sit: a table near the stages if you want to be part of the night, the upper level if you would rather watch it happen.

For the full experience, book a main-level table close to the stages, where the dancers climb onto tables and pick guests to bring up on stage.
These front tables are the most expensive category, and they suit a bachelorette or birthday group that wants to be in the thick of it. Taking part is optional, so you can sit up front and still say no.
Because the show uses three stages and the space around them, the action is not stuck at one end of the room. Tables away from the main stage still get dancers passing close by.
Best value seats
The rear tables are the cheapest seats in the room, and with the dancers moving all over the floor they rarely feel far from the action.
Prices also run a little higher on weekends than on weeknights, so a weeknight show is the easy way to save. The upper level is worth a look too: it sits only a few feet higher, but that is enough to see over the tables in front.
Seats to avoid
If you would rather not become part of the show, skip the tables nearest the stages: that is where the performers climb up and look for volunteers.
Also check which way your chair faces. Many tables are set at right angles or diagonally to the stage, so some chairs face across the table. And since the two levels are only a few feet apart, a tall guest in front can cut into your view.

The showroom is wheelchair accessible, and wheelchair and companion seats are handled by the Excalibur box office: call before you book and tell them what you need.
Section by section
Main level
The main level holds the tables around the three stages and the smaller platforms. The closer your table is to a stage, the better your odds of a dancer ending up on it or right next to you.
Booths
Six booths, each for up to four people, sit slightly raised behind the main-level tables. They suit a group of four that wants its own space and a view over the tables in front.
Upper level
The upper level sits behind the main level, only a few feet higher. It is the calmer part of the room: you see across the floor, and you are less likely to be pulled up on stage.
Good to know before you go
- Guests must be 18 or older with a valid photo ID, so make sure everyone in your group brings one.
- Shows are at 8:00 pm nightly, with a second show at 10:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
- The dancers come into the audience, climb on tables and bring guests on stage. Joining in is always optional.
- The showroom is non-smoking.
- The Thunderland Showroom is on Excalibur’s second level.
