Thunder From Down Under is Excalibur’s Australian male revue, danced by an all-Aussie cast. It opened on the Strip at the New Frontier in July 2001, moved to Excalibur a year later and has played more than 11,500 shows there. Its home is the Thunderland Showroom, rebuilt in 2019 around three main stages, with room for the dancers to work the whole floor.
What to expect
The evening strings together group routines, solo spots and themed numbers, and the cast includes acrobats and breakdancers. They don’t stay on stage: dancers run through the showroom, hop onto tables and pick guests at random for a dance up front. Most of the crowd comes for a bachelorette party, a birthday or a girls’ trip.
Good to know
Joining in is optional: a dancer may single you out or invite you on stage, but you can just watch. If that kind of attention isn’t your thing, the show itself suggests skipping it.
It isn’t built around tipping the dancers: Australia has no tipping culture, and its producer says the show was designed to work without it.
The showroom is on the Castle Walk level, up the escalators from the middle of the casino floor, down the hallway beside the Thunder Bar.

Where to sit
Every seat is at a table: on the main level around the stages, in booths raised slightly behind it, or on an upper level a few feet higher at the back. The tables nearest the stages cost the most and see the most action; the rear tables are the cheapest, and the upper level suits anyone who would rather watch than join in.
