WOW – The Vegas Spectacular is the Rio’s acrobatic water show, playing there since 2017. Created by producer Hanoch Rosenn, a former mime, it puts about 30 acrobats, dancers and specialty acts around a 1,000-square-foot pool, with water walls, 3D projections and holograms. It runs 90 minutes and it’s built for families.
What to expect
It’s a variety show, not a story: one act follows another, with comedy bits in between. Expect aerial and acrobatic numbers, synchronized swimmers, jugglers and a crossbow archer. Acts have included a contortionist in a giant water bowl, a Chinese pole duo and a Singin’ in the Rain tribute.
Good to know
Ages 4 and up, according to the Rio. With a younger child, ask the box office first.
The theater is on the Rio’s casino level, near the Masquerade Tower. The Rio is off the Strip, and self-parking there is free.

Where to sit
More than 600 seats wrap 180 degrees around the stage, over three changes of height. Sit as close to the center line as you can: the far sides watch at an angle and can miss acts at the back of the stage.
