Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is Gregory Popovich's family matinee: more than 25 cats, dogs, parrots and geese, plus a mini horse and a mini pig, all adopted from shelters, acting in slapstick sketches alongside acrobats and jugglers. It has played the V Theater, in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, since 2006.
The V Theater is a complex of four showrooms, and the show plays V1: 369 seats on Vegas.com's seat map. Rows AA to DD curve around the front of the stage, a center block of rows A to J sits behind them, and a side of angled rows flanks it on each side. Our short answer: the middle of rows AA to DD.
Best seats for Popovich Comedy Pet Theater
The best seats are the middle of rows AA to DD, sold as VIP Front: curved around the front of the stage, the closest you can get to the animals.
With a cast of cats and dogs, close matters, for children above all. On the date we checked, VIP Front cost only a little more than VIP Middle, the rows right behind it.
Best value seats
The best value is Side Front: the first rows of the two angled sides, clearly cheaper than the VIP seats on the date we checked. The first rows on the left are about as close to the stage as the front of the center block; you watch at an angle.
Side Rear, at the back of the left side and in the last row on the right, was cheaper still, by far: the cheapest seat in the room, and the furthest from the stage.
Seats to avoid
Skip the ends of rows BB, CC and DD if you can: they're VIP Front, the same price as the middle of those rows, but they curve round beside the stage, so you watch from the side.
With small children, think twice about Side Rear, rows H to M of the left side: the furthest seats from the animals, at an angle to the stage. Vegas.com flags no seat in the room with an obstructed view.
Accessible seating
Five wheelchair places sit at the right end of row DD, seats 20 to 24. They weren't offered online when we searched for two tickets; the V Theater asks guests who need them to call 702-260-7200 once they've booked.
Section by section
Rows AA to DD (VIP Front)
Four curved rows around the front of the stage, the closest seats and the dearest. Row AA has ten seats, right at the stage; the ends of rows BB to DD wrap round beside it.
Rows A to G, center (VIP Middle)
Seven rows of 14 to 18 seats, numbered 200 and up, straight in front of the stage.
Rows H to J, center (VIP Rear)
The last three rows of the center block, still facing the stage, for a little less than VIP Middle. Row J has only six seats, on the left.
Left side, rows A to M
Thirteen rows angled toward the stage, seats numbered 100 and up, with a staircase behind the last rows. Rows A to G are Side Front, H to M Side Rear.
Right side, rows A to F
A short block between the aisle and the wall, four to six seats a row, numbered 300 and up. Rows A to E are Side Front, row F Side Rear.
