About the tour
Grand Canyon Deluxe with Helicopter
Grand Canyon Deluxe with Helicopter puts three rides into one day at Grand Canyon National Park: a plane, a helicopter and a Hummer. A Twin Otter Vistaliner or Cessna Caravan leaves Papillon’s air terminal in Boulder City and takes about 70 minutes each way, over Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Colorado River.
At the park a helicopter flies you over the canyon’s South and North Rims for 25 to 30 minutes. Then a Hummer from Buck Wild Hummer Tours, open-air in the warm months and enclosed when it’s cold, spends about 2 hours 45 minutes on paved park roads, stopping at a few well-known lookouts, such as Mather Point or Yavapai Point, with photo time at each and a box lunch.
Plan on the whole day: about 9½ hours from hotel pickup to drop-off on the tour page, 10½ in Papillon’s FAQ. Transport from selected Strip and Downtown hotels, about 60 to 90 minutes before the flight, is part of the tour, or you can drive to Boulder City yourself. There are no departures in December.
Everyone 18 and over needs an original REAL ID-compliant license or a passport; without one, Papillon refuses check-in and refunds no one in the booking.
Check in 45 minutes before flight time, or the booking is cancelled as a no-show. Changes are free until 72 hours before departure. Cancelling by then gets you a credit voucher for the full price, good for a year, not a refund; inside 72 hours, no changes or refunds. Reconfirm by phone a day or two ahead.
All ages are welcome. Kids under 8 (or under 4 ft 9 in) need a car or booster seat in the Hummer, lent free if you ask when you book.
From 300 pounds, you pay for an extra comfort seat at check-in. Children 2 to 11 have their own fare, and under-2s fly free on a lap.
Not a US resident? Since January 1, 2026, international visitors 16 and over pay an extra federal fee to enter Grand Canyon National Park, on top of the tour price.
