About the tour
Neon & Nature Helicopter Tour
Neon & Nature pairs the Strip with the desert west of town. From Maverick’s terminal at the south end of the Strip, the helicopter heads about 25 miles west to Red Rock Canyon, over its red sandstone cliffs and the scenic loop road, a flight of 12 to 15 minutes each way.
It sets down at a private landing site on Blue Diamond Ridge, about 2,900 feet above Las Vegas, for roughly 30 minutes: time for photos, a short walk and a champagne toast above the valley. The way back crosses estates and golf courses, then the Strip, with Caesars Palace, Bellagio and Allegiant Stadium below.
Count about an hour in all. Maverick also runs it as Neon & Nature Sunset, with a longer stop on the ridge for the last light and a return once the sun has set and the Strip is lit.
There’s no hotel pickup: make your own way to Maverick’s terminal at 6075 Las Vegas Blvd. South, about half a mile south of the Strip’s hotels, and check in at least 45 minutes before departure.
Everyone 18 and over needs a physical REAL ID or passport at check-in (a digital or paper copy won’t do). Children 2 and up need their own seat; under-2s can fly on a lap with proof of age, and under-18s fly with a parent or guardian.
Each guest can weigh up to 300 pounds, and the pilot assigns seats for weight and balance.
Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before the flight. Inside 72 hours nothing can be changed or cancelled, and a no-show is charged in full; Maverick’s Ticket Assurance option lets you cancel up to 24 hours before.
Wear closed-toe shoes for walking around the landing site. In summer, bring sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen.
