Machine Guns Vegas is an indoor shooting range and lounge at 3501 Aldebaran Avenue, west of the Strip, with a separate outdoor range for long-distance and explosive shoots. Every shooter gets an instructor one-on-one, which suits first-timers, and most visits take 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the package and the size of the group.
What to expect
Indoors, you choose a themed package, a set of guns built around an idea, and your instructor walks you through each one before you fire it. Package names change from time to time; the current menu includes the Seal Team VI package, the Femme Fatale package, The Gamer’s package, the Barrett .50 Caliber, One and Done and the Machine Gun Specials. Most indoor packages come with a free video of your session.
The outdoor range is where Gun and Run, the 1 Mile Slot Shot and Blow Up A Car take place. Combos pair a shoot with a helicopter tour over the Strip or the Grand Canyon, a Lamborghini drive, a dune buggy ride or an escape room, and there’s even a shotgun wedding.
Good to know
Indoors, shooters aged 10 to 17 need a parent or legal guardian and must be at least 51 inches tall and 89 pounds. The outdoor range starts at 12, with a minimum of 130 pounds and 5 feet 5 inches.
Shooters who aren’t US citizens need a passport or another government photo ID.
You have to be completely sober to shoot, and that includes marijuana.
Qualifying indoor packages include a free Uber ride from Strip and Downtown hotels. The outdoor range is at a different site, and you arrange your own ride there.
Photos and video on your own phone are fine.
