The Official SAW Escape Room is a horror escape game based on the SAW films, on Industrial Road, a few minutes west of the Strip. It starts with a walk into the Egan & Co. meat-packing plant, then your group works through a series of rooms, each with a game set by Jigsaw, puzzles to solve against the clock, special effects and live actors. Count a little over an hour.
The same team runs Escape Blair Witch, a second horror escape game based on the Blair Witch films. Vegas.com sells both under one listing: SAW, Blair Witch (a little cheaper, with a collector’s coin), both games in a bundle, or either one as a private game.
How it works
General admission puts you with other players booked for the same time, up to 10 in all. A private game for 4 to 10 people costs more, and a VIP package adds a photo, a hat and a T-shirt.
Reservations are required and slots sell out: no walk-ups. Arrive on time, since late players aren’t let in after 5 minutes.
It’s loud, dark and foggy, with strobe lights and actors in every room. It isn’t recommended for anyone pregnant, with a heart condition, claustrophobia or sensitivity to strobes.
Good to know
Ages: under 8 only in a private game; under 16 with an adult who also plays; 16 and 17 need a parent’s signature on the waiver.
Wear clothes you can crawl in. Costumes aren’t allowed, phones stay away during the game, and outside food and drinks are banned.
Open Wednesday to Sunday; hours vary by day. There’s parking on site, and a pizza place on the property.
All sales are final; you can reschedule, for a fee, up to 48 hours ahead.
