Shows to Watch in October 2025
October is a prime month to visit Las Vegas. The weather cools just enough for comfortable nights out, and Halloween adds a festive, spooky edge to the city. Beyond the haunted houses and costume parties, the entertainment sector is buzzing with top-tier productions that even New York and London would struggle to compete with.
Whether you’re into magic, comedy, music, acrobatics, or even burlesque, here are the shows worth putting on your calendar this October.
October Shows in Las Vegas
Wizard of Oz at The Sphere
Running from August 2025 to March 2026, Wizard of Oz takes over the iconic Sphere and reimagines the 1939 classic with 16K visuals, surround sound, and sensory effects that put you inside the story. You’re literally placed inside the story as the famous Tornado is recreated with special effects. 750-horsepower fans blow powerful gusts of air across the audience, making it seem you’re caught in the twister with Dorothy. The Washington Post praised the show as providing an “incredible experience”, and we definitely agree.

O by Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio
Blending theater, acrobatics, and water spectacle, O by Cirque Du Soleil has become one of the Strip’s most enduring shows. Performers dive from great heights, glide across the stage-turned-lake, and emerge from beneath the water in seamless transitions. We think this is the most beautiful Cirque show, and we’re not alone. Forbes called it “an aquatic marvel that leaves you breathless.” It truly is one of the best shows you can watch in Las Vegas and should definitely be on your October shortlist.

Awakening at The Wynn
At Wynn Las Vegas, you’ll find Awakening. It’s another show that pushes the limits of stagecraft with a 360-degree rotating stage, massive puppetry, and narration by Anthony Hopkins. This modern fantasy blends dance, music, and spectacle into a story told on one of the most technically advanced stages in the world. The Las Vegas Review-Journal praised it as “a dazzling display of artistry and technology.”

KÀ by Cirque du Soleil at MGM Grand
The second of four Cirque du Soleil performances on our list, KÀ is an epic story of love and conflict told through martial arts, acrobatics, and a 360-degree rotating stage. The show’s centerpiece is again a stage. This stage can tilt vertically, creating jaw-dropping battles that feel more like a live-action film than a performance. If you’re in the mood for more than one Cirque show, you’ll definitely want to check out this one at MGM Grand.
Show Days: Tuesday–Saturday
Show Times: 7:00 p.m. & 9:30 p.m.
Tickets Start From: $69
Blue Man Group at Luxor
Blue Man Group has been a Las Vegas family-friendly favorite for more than two decades, combining music and comedy into one show. The three blue-painted performers drum on everything from giant pipes to neon-painted drums, creating rhythms that are as powerful as they are playful. Add in bursts of color, quirky humor, and plenty of audience interaction, and you’ll quickly realize why this is a show that families love.

Jabbawockeez at MGM Grand
Winners of America’s Best Dance Crew, the masked hip-hop troupe Jabbawockeez bring you another family-friendly show to the MGM Grand. Their precision dance routines are paired with creative lighting and multimedia backdrops, making the show feel more like a live music video than a traditional stage performance. The anonymity of the masks puts the focus entirely on movement and rhythm, drawing audiences of all ages into the beat.

Tickets Start From: $49
David Copperfield at MGM Grand
A true legend of magic, David Copperfield continues to headline at the MGM Grand, delivering illusions that have kept him at the top of his craft for decades. The show combines grand-scale tricks with intimate sleight of hand, so one moment you’re watching a car appear out of nowhere, and the next you’re caught up in a personal story that ties into the illusion. It’s part nostalgia, part spectacle, and proof of why Copperfield is still considered one of the greatest magicians alive.

Shin Lim: Limitless at Palazzo
If you’re looking for a magic show that feels intimate yet mind-blowing, Shin Lim: Limitless is the show to watch this October. Known for his masterful control of cards and close-up illusions, Lim’s act is as much about artistry as it is about trickery. Every move is choreographed to music, creating a performance that feels sleek, hypnotic, and completely different from the large-scale illusions found elsewhere on the Strip. Fans of modern, minimalist magic consistently rank it as a must-see for its originality.

Mad Apple by Cirque du Soleil at New York-New York
We promise, this is the last Cirque performance on our list. Mad Apple flips the script on traditional Cirque du Soleil shows, delivering a nightclub-style variety act with comedy, live music, acrobatics, and jaw-dropping stunts. Set in a fast-paced New York-inspired atmosphere, it feels more like a late-night party than a circus. Perfect for adults looking for something edgy, bold, and packed with energy.

Absinthe at Caesars Palace
Sticking with another adults-only show, let’s talk about Absinthe. Absinthe is the kind of show that could only exist in Vegas: gravity-defying acrobatics, jaw-dropping stunts, and comedy that’s as unfiltered as it gets. Staged inside an actual circus tent outside Caesars Palace, the performers are just feet from the audience, which makes every act feel even wilder. It’s rowdy, raunchy, and unforgettable, perfect if you want a night out that’s equal parts circus and cabaret.

The Mentalist at Planet Hollywood
Back to magic, and if you like your magic with a psychological twist, The Mentalist at Planet Hollywood is all about mind reading, predictions, and audience participation. The show’s star, Gerry McCambridge, has been a Vegas staple for years and keeps crowds hooked with tricks that blur the line between illusion and intuition. It’s smaller in scale than the big Strip productions, but that intimacy makes the experience feel even more impressive.
Show Days: Thursday–Tuesday

Penn & Teller at Rio
The last magic show on our list involves the masters of blending mind-bending illusions. Penn & Teller have built one of the longest-running residencies in Las Vegas. Their act ranges from grand-scale tricks to clever routines that reveal “how it’s done,” without ever spoiling the magic. The duo’s chemistry and wit give the show its edge, making it as funny as it is baffling.
